A Tujunga man pleaded guilty Thursday to killing his female cousin, whose body was left near a freeway offramp.
Aram Sarukhanyan, 30, immediately was sentenced to 40 years to life in state prison following his guilty plea to second-degree murder, along with the admission of an allegation that he had personally discharged a firearm in the April 29, 2011, shooting of Adrine Arzumanyan, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The 33-year-old woman’s body was dumped near the La Crescenta Avenue offramp of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway, according to Deputy District Attorney Dmitry Brodsky.
