A driver in his 30s faces DUI charges after his vehicle crashed into a private ambulance in the Pico-Union district early Friday morning.
It happened about 4:20 a.m., at the intersection of West Pico Boulevard and South Alvarado Street, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Melvin Gamble said.
A witness at the scene said the ambulance, belonging to American Professional Ambulance, was carrying a patient.
Neither the patient nor the ambulance personnel were injured, Gamble said.
