A fire damaged a two-story apartment building in Rosemead Friday, but no one was injured, authorities said.

The fire — reported at 2:11 p.m. — broke out in the 3100 block of Del Mar Avenue, said Inspector Randall Wright of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The first arriving units got on scene at 2:15 p.m. and reported light smoke coming from the building, he said.

The blaze was knocked down by 2:27, p.m., Wright said.
