Murder and other charges were filed Friday against a 15- year-old boy who was allegedly involved in a fatal Pico Rivera home-invasion robbery in which two others — including the homeowner’s 17-year-old son — have already been charged.

Angel Emilio Estrello, who was charged as an adult, was ordered to be held without bail while awaiting arraignment Oct. 7 on one count each of murder and first-degree burglary and two counts of home-invasion robbery.

Sergio Anthony Gutierrez, the victim’s 17-year-old son, and Jesus Rafael Adame, 18, were charged on Tuesday with the same counts. They are also set to be arraigned Oct. 7 in a Norwalk courtroom.

The murder charge includes the special circumstance allegation of murder during the commission of a robbery.

Gutierrez and Estrello are not eligible for the death penalty because of their ages, and could face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted.

Prosecutors will decide later whether to seek the death penalty against Adame.

Sergio Gutierrez, 50, was attacked in his home early Saturday. The defendants are accused of stealing cash, credit cards and the family vehicle from the residence, according to prosecutors.
