One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon in an unincorporated area north of Lancaster, authorities said.
One patient was pronounced dead at the scene after being cut out of the wreckage of the 3:51 p.m. crash on Avenue I near North 60th Street, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Miller.
The injured victim was taken to a hospital, but a condition report was not immediately available, Miller said.
