A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer suffered “moderate” injuries Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Seal Beach, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. south of Seal Beach Boulevard, said CHP Officer Denise Quesada. Paramedics transported the officer to a hospital for treatment.
According to the preliminary investigation, the officer was northbound when another vehicle swerved in front of the motorcycle, causing it to crash, Quesada said. No description was immediately released of the hit-and-run vehicle.
Three northbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
