Los Angeles police, who sealed off a section of Mission Hills Tuesday morning to search for an armed robbery suspect, made an arrest that afternoon, an officer said.

The crime in the city of San Fernando, in the 600 block of North Workman Street, occurred about 1 a.m., and police later sealed off an area near Telfair Avenue and Polk Street based on a sighting of the 24-year-old suspect, according to police assigned to the Foothill Station.

Officer Bruce Borihanh said a suspect was arrested this afternoon, but he did not know about the alleged robbery.
