Police on Thursday circulated surveillance images of a man suspected of stealing a pair of sunglasses worth nearly $1,000 from a Glendale store.

The man was browsing in the ILORI store in the Americana at Brand shopping center around 6:10 p.m. Sept. 27 when he took a pair of sunglasses with a retail value of $945 and put them in his shopping bag and left without paying for them, Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot said.

“He was in the company of a female that was standing next to him at the time of the theft,” she said.

The man is 28 to 35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150-160 pounds with dark hair a mustache and a goatee.

Anyone with information about the theft was urged to contact Glendale police burglary Detective Shaun Carlson at (818) 548-2097.

Anonymous tips can be provided by calling Crime Stoppers at (877) 222- TIPS. If the information leads to an arrest, the tipster is eligible to receive a reward of up to $1,000.
