A motorcycle passenger was killed and its operator injured in a collision with another vehicle Thursday night in Pomona.
The fatal crash occurred about 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Towne and Grand avenues, said Pomona police Lt. Chuck Becker.
The bike’s passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the operator was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Becker said.
No one in the other vehicle was injured, he said.
The intersection was closed following the crash and the public was advised to avoid the area, police said.
