Two people were killed Saturday when two large trucks crashed at the northern end of the Orange (57) Freeway in San Dimas.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the northbound 57 at the split to the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway at 5:25 a.m. and confirmed there were two fatalities, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said.
CHP Officer Tony Polizzi said at least man who died in the crash suffered burns. One of the trucks was on fire, according to CHP officers.
All lanes were closed at 6:03 a.m. and re-opened at 1 p.m., said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
