One suspect suffered major injuries and two were taken into custody following a crash that ended a short pursuit in a stolen car in El Monte, a police lieutenant said Monday.
The two-minute pursuit started at 2:10 p.m. on Sunday at Garvey Avenue and Mountain View Road and ended at Ramona Boulevard and Maxson Road, according to El Monte police Lt. Michael Goodwin.
An officer on patrol noticed the car at Garvey Avenue and Mountain View Road and ran the plate, which came back as stolen from Ontario, according to Goodwin.
An attempt to pull over the vehicle with two men and one woman inside led to the two-minute pursuit and a collision with another vehicle at Ramona Boulevard and Maxson Road, he said.
Two men were taken into custody and the woman suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, Goodwin said.
The man and woman in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, he said.
The investigation continued, Goodwin said.
