A carjacking suspect was significantly injured Tuesday night when the vehicle he was driving collided with two other vehicles in the unincorporated South Whittier area, ending what authorities called a brief chase.
Two other motorists who had less serious injuries were also taken to hospitals, according to the sheriff’s department.
The vehicle driven by the suspect also struck several other vehicles during the chase, authorities said.
The chase ended at Leffingwell Road and Scott Avenue at 7:20 p.m., according to the sheriff’s department.
