One suspect was hospitalized and another remained at large after a deputy-involved shooting in East Los Angeles early Wednesday.
The shooting occurred in the 4700 block of Whittier Boulevard around 1 a.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Crystal Hernandez.
No deputies were hurt in the incident, but the circumstances of the shooting, and the condition of the suspect who was shot were not immediately known, Hernandez said.
A search was underway for a second suspect, Hernandez said.
