A man who allegedly stabbed his 6-year-old son to death last month pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a murder charge.

Nathan Alexander Sanchez was found Sept. 18 with multiple stab wounds in a trailer at the rear of a house in the unincorporated Florence Firestone neighborhood. The boy was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.

The youngster’s father was screaming incoherently and covered in blood when he was was taken into custody near the crime scene, authorities said.

He’s due back in a Los Angeles courtroom on Nov. 13, when a date is scheduled to be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to require him to stand trial on the two felony charges.
