Firefighters on Thursday battled a two-alarm, non-injury house fire in San Gabriel.

The blaze was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the 500 block of Norwood Place and was knocked down by 2:10 p.m., according to a fire dispatcher.

Los Angeles County firefighters assisted personnel from the San Gabriel Fire Department in the effort to extinguish the flames, county fire Inspector Randall Wright said.

New Avenue was closed at Norwood as firefighters battled the blaze, according to Alhambra police.
