A second suspect was behind bars Thursday following his arrest in connection with a shooting that left a man critically wounded in Pomona.
Carlos Smith, 22, of Long Beach was arrested Tuesday at a hotel in Brea, according to Pomona police.
He is suspected of robbery and attempted murder in the shooting in the 200 block of West Willow Avenue about 4:45 p.m. Sept. 26, police said.
A second suspect, Shatera Simpson, was arrested in the early morning hours of Sept. 27, police said.
The victim, shot multiple times, was in critical condition when he was airlifted to a hospital.
Police have said they believe the victim possibly was targeted.
Smith was being on $2 million bail and Simpson on $1.05 million bail, according sheriff’s online records.
