A John Burroughs High School student was in custody Friday for allegedly making threats against students at the Burbank school on the social media website Twitter.

There was no threat to the students, Burbank Police Department Officer Joshua Kendrick said.

Police became aware of the threats at 7:42 p.m. Thursday, interviewed the student at his home with his family and arrested him, Kendrick said.

The student’s name was not released because he is a minor.
