Paramedics sent to the 6800 block of South Figueroa Street about 9:30 a.m. took two people to hospitals in critical condition, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Firefighters “used airbags to quickly and safely lift the vehicle” off one of the critically injured who was trapped, according to an @LAFD tweet.
The third person was treated for a non-life threatening injury at the scene, Scott said. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
