A traffic school instructor was arrested for allegedly sexually battering students during driving lessons and in his office, and authorities Wednesday urged other possible victims to contact investigators.
Jorge Ernesto Ubillus, 70, was taken into custody on Monday and was booked on a misdemeanor sexual battery warrant, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Ubillus was released later Monday after posting $30,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s department. No court date was announced.
“The warrant was based on sexual battery cases spanning from July 2014 to Aug. 13, 2014,” according to a police statement.
The incidents allegedly occurred while Ubillus was teaching students to drive, and also in his office in the 5400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, police said.
Anyone with more information on the case, or who may have been a victim, was urged to call LAPD detective Aldegarie at (213) 473-0439 or (877) LAPD-247.
