A small brushfire in Santa Clarita took firefighters 45 minutes to bring under control early Friday.
The half-acre fire broke out in the 20700 block of Centre Pointe Parkway around 2:24 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Kyle Sandford said. About 50 firefighters had the fire knocked down by 3:09 a.m., he said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, Sandford said.
