Three people were stabbed, one fatally, in Carson Wednesday afternoon, and two possible suspects were detained.

The attack occurred shortly before 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of East 218th Street, according to Deputy Tony Moore of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

One man, who was not immediately identified was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other stabbing victims were taken to hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition, Moore said.

Deputies from the sheriff’s Carson Station responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at the location where multiple suspects were involved in the stabbing of the three victims.

They found an 18-year-old male with a fatal stab wound and two additional victims, an 18-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, also with stab wounds. They were taken to a hospital and their conditions were not available.

Two possible suspects were taken into custody.
