Firefighters were able to put out a stubborn fire at a Pacific Palisades home Saturday, which began inside a fireplace and extended into the three-story structure’s walls.

Firefighters were dispatched to 974 Enchanted Way at 7:26 a.m. and had the fire out within 23 minutes of their arrival, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

One person inside the house suffered a burned hand, and after being evaluated by paramedics was sent to a hospital via a private vehicle. The exact cause of the fire was under investigation, Scott said.
