Authorities on Tuesday released the name of a man killed in a gang-related shooting in South Los Angeles.

Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter identified the victim as Londale McNeil, 30, of Los Angeles.

Officers were dispatched about 6 p.m. Saturday to 88th Place and Wall Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.    McNeil was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police recovered a revolver, which appeared to belong to the victim, Los Angeles police Sgt. Shannon Hale said.
