Three suspects are in custody after a high-speed police pursuit of a stolen car that began in Boyle Heights and ended in western San Bernardino County early Thursday, police said.
A female passenger was in the Volkswagen Beetle when it was stolen near Hollenbeck Park and East 4th Street, but she was not hurt, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck station.
The vehicle reached speeds of 90 miles per hour on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway before it stopped in Fontana after it ran out of gas, ABC7 reported.
The LAPD officer said the suspect stopped to pick up two other males before the pursuit began.
No officers were injured, and the suspects were being transported back to the Hollenbeck Station, the officer said.
