Crews sent to repair water main break in Boyle Heights

A 6-inch water main ruptured Thursday in Boyle Heights, authorities said.

The problem was reported about 4 a.m. in the 800 block of Esperanza Street, said Kim Hughes of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

It was unclear how many customers would be affected by the break. Crews were sent to repair the pipe.
