A former ice skating coach was sentenced Thursday to nearly 100 years to life in state prison for sexually abusing two of his students.
Donald James Vincent — who coached as an independent contractor at various rinks in Southern California — sexually molested the boy and girl at his homes in Hacienda Heights and Downey between 2007 and 2011, according to Deputy District Attorney Babette Huley.
The 31-year-old Torrance resident, who was arrested in January 2013, was ordered by Superior Court Judge Mike Camacho to serve 98 years and eight months to life behind bars.
Vincent was convicted in January of one count of continuous sexual abuse, two counts each of forcible lewd act upon a child, lewd act upon a child and sex/sodomy with a child under 10 and three counts of oral copulation/sexual penetration with a child under 10.
