A man who was fatally shot Thursday at a fast-food restaurant in Palmdale appeared to be specifically targeted by his killer, who was being sought, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at McDonald’s in the 37200 block of 47th Street East near Avenue S about 12:35 p.m., according to a lieutenant at the Palmdale sheriff’s station.
The man, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene, said Sgt. Carmen Arballo of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The male suspect entered one door of the restaurant, walked up to the victim and opened fire, then left through another door, sheriff’s Lt. John Corina told reporters at the scene.
