A pedestrian was struck and killed by a freight train Friday in Santa Clarita.
Paramedics sent to Soledad Canyon Road and Rainbow Glen Drive about 10:20 a.m. pronounced the person dead at the scene, according to the county fire department.
The fatally injured person was described only as a female, age unknown, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Cortland Myers of the Santa Clarita Valley Station.
