[symple_googlemap title=”Big Rig Crash” location=”34.310028,-118.4845603″ height=”300″ zoom=”15″]A multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig prompted closure Wednesday of the truck transition road from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Sylmar area, and left two people injured, authorities said.

The crash occurred north of the Foothill (210) Freeway about 7:50 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported. The transition road was reopened after about three hours, the CHP reported.

Paramedics transported two people for hospital treatment, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
