A female pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fullerton, authorities said Wednesday.
The victim was struck as she crossed the 400 block of North State College Boulevard just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, Fullerton Police Department Sgt. Eric Halverson said.
The victim was outside a crosswalk when she was struck by a northbound Ford SUV, whose driver remained at the scene, Halverson said.
The victim died at a hospital, Halverson said.
A videographer at the scene said he was told by the victim’s colleagues that she had left work at a nearby Big Lots store and was crossing the street to a bus stop.
The videographer said the driver of the SUV was identified to him as a volunteer member of the Fullerton Police Department Chief’s Advisory Board by Fullerton Police Department Sgt. James Rob.
