An autopsy was pending Wednesday to determine the cause of death of a woman in Bell Gardens.
Authorities were sent to the 5500 block of Lanto Street about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The body of the woman, who was in her 50s, was discovered when authorities went to the residence to check on her welfare, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives assisted Bell Gardens police in the investigation.
