A 41-year-old man was struck and killed by a motorist Sunday in South Los Angeles.
The man was struck about 12:35 a.m. on Avalon Boulevard near 46th Street, said Coroner’s Investigator Dana Bee.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50 a.m., Bee said.
A watch commander for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division could not be reached for immediate comment.
The victim was not identified at first.
