A 30-year-old man pleaded no contest Tuesday to voluntary manslaughter for a shooting that left a rival gang member dead in Norwalk.
Superior Court Judge Lori Ann Fournier immediately sentenced Andrew Ramos to six years in state prison following his plea involving the Jan. 2, 2013, shooting of Jimmy DeLeon Hernandez.
Hernandez, 32, confronted Ramos while he was on a porch and shot him several times after they exchanged words, according to Deputy District Attorney Marie Cox.
Ramos was arrested about a week later.
