The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division on Wednesday released video footage of a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a 10-year-old boy in hopes of tracking down the driver.

The collision occurred at the corner of North Main Street and Sichel Street in the Lincoln Heights area about 5:35 p.m. Tuesday.

The boy was crossing Main Street in a marked crosswalk with an 11-year- old friend, who escaped injury, police said.

The driver continued south on Main Street, failing to stop to identify himself or render aid.

The boy was hospitalized in critical condition.
