Pasadena police sought a man who walked into a home and attacked a housekeeper with a blunt object, then fled with some property, authorities said Wednesday.

The attack occurred about 2:20 p.m. on Monday in a home in the 1100 block of Arroyo Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.

Clawson said the woman’s employer came running to help her, but the suspect had already run off, Clawson said.

Some property taken from the home was recovered, he said.

The suspect was described as a 20-year-old black man, about 5 feet 2 inches and 140 pounds, with curly hair. He was wearing all black clothing.

Clawson reminded people to keep their doors locked even when home, Clawson said.

The woman’s injuries were minor, he said.
