A man who had been mortally wounded by gunfire was found on a street Thursday in unincorporated Wingfoot Florence west of Watts, authorities said.
The victim was found in the 1400 block of East 99th Street around 12:15 a.m., said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Trina Schrader.
Schrader said the victim was working on his vehicle when another man walked up and shot him. The victim walked several yards away from the scene before collapsing, she said.
No suspect description was immediately provided.
