A man wanted for allegedly stabbing a woman to death in Norwalk in 2012 has been arrested in Guatemala, authorities said Friday.
Luis Diofron was taken into custody on Thursday by FBI agents and Guatemalan law enforcement officials, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
Diofron allegedly killed Denise Battey, 50, on Aug. 10, 2012, in the 11900 block of Allard Street, authorities said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives will go to Guatemala “in the near future,” Detective Ray Lugo said.
