A man in his 20s shot multiple times in South Los Angeles Friday afternoon was treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The attack happened about 2:20 p.m. at 101st and Figueroa streets, said Sgt. Shannon Hale of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station.
A male gunman got out of a black car and opened fire, Hale said. The victim was struck in a thigh, a finger and in the back.
The shooter is believed to be a gang member, given the location and circumstances of the attack, Hale said.
The vehicle was last seen being driven south on Flower Street, according to Hale.
