Three armed men forced staff and customers at a diner in Pomona to hand over personal property and cash early Tuesday, police said.

The robbery occurred around 12:20 a.m., said Pomona police Officer Zane Holmes. The three robbers wore bandanas and brandished firearms, he said, adding that cash was taken from the restaurant register, and personal items from customers and staff.

One of the staff members at the Denny’s restaurant in the 1500 block of Gillette Road, was pistol-hipped and suffered a broken nose, NBC4 reported.

The amount taken was not specified, and no suspect description was immediately available.
