Suspected taggers in West Covina, Baldwin Park and La Puente were arrested Wednesday when about 200 law enforcement officers fanned out with search warrants for 17 locations.

Eleven adults and three juveniles were booked at the West Covina jail in the raids carried out Tuesday, West Covina police Officer Rudy Lopez said.

The investigation grew out of a probe into vandalism at Orangewood Park in West Covina, he said.

In addition to tagging, some of the suspects were booked for unspecified “street crimes,” Lopez said.

The suspects were linked to crimes estimated to have caused about $220,000 in damage in West Covina, he said.
