A sheriff’s deputy was injured Wednesday when the department motorcycle he was riding crashed in Topanga Canyon.
The crash occurred about 5 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Topanga Canyon Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department reported.
Deputy Timothy White’s motorcycle “struck a patch of gravel on the roadway” and crashed, a sheriff’s statement said. He was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.
Topanga Canyon Boulevard was closed between Pacific Coast Highway and Grandview Drive for six hours while an investigation was conducted.
