Two men were wounded in a gang-related shooting Wednesday afternoon in South Los Angeles, police said.
The shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. near 65th Street and Vermont Avenue, said Officer Jack Richter of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
He said the men — one in his 20s and the other in his 40s — were both hospitalized in stable condition with chest wounds. Their names were withheld.
Two suspects ran from the scene, but they may have ultimately escaped in a black Honda Civic seen in the area, Richter said.
