Firefighters sent to the single-story building in the 6600 block of Van Nuys Boulevard at 10:21 a.m. found that the fire already was out, said Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
