A fire damaged one room and the attic of a home in Silver Lake Saturday, but no one was injured, authorities said.

Heavy smoke and fire was visible when the first of 32 firefighters that responded arrived at the home at 2248 Earl Street, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters took 21 minutes to knock down the blaze, which had been reported at 2:31 p.m., Scott said.
