A Metro Orange Line articulated bus collided with a car in Van Nuys Monday, authorities said.

The crash occurred shortly 8 a.m. near Van Nuys Boulevard and Chandler Street, according to Rick Jager of Metro.
Two people aboard the bus complained of injury, and were transported for hospital examination, Jager said. It was unclear if anyone was injured in the car.
According to the preliminary investigation, the bus was westbound when it was hit broadside by the car, which may have gone through a red traffic signal, Jager said. The 60-foot-long bus is in two sections.
