A 34-year-old man was shot multiple times in an unincorporated area near La Puente, authorities said Tuesday.
The victim was walking in the 900 block of Le Borgne Avenue several houses away from his residence in an area of unincorporated Bassett between Baldwin Park and La Puente when two men got out of a late model Honda Civic around 11:30 p.m. Monday and one or both shot at him, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. David Contreras.
The victim was struck four times in the back and once in the left calf and driven to a hospital by relatives, Contreras said, adding that his condition was not immediately determined.
