Authorities tried to figure Friday how a male ended up with a gunshot wound to the back next to a burning car in the Llano area.
The wound was not considered to be life-threatening, and the victim was being uncooperative, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Frank Quichocho.
The incident was reported near the intersection of 248th Street East and Avenue Z just west of the San Bernardino County Line around 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Quichocho said. The victim was found next to the burning car, he said.
“We are assuming it was related to the shooting,” Quichocho said of the car’s condition.. “It’s hard to know exactly what happened.”
