A man riding on a bicycle was shot and mortally wounded in Pomona, a police sergeant said Sunday.
The victim, Joshua Daniel Roberts, 26, was riding a bicycle in the 1500 block of Sheridan Avenue when the suspect vehicle pulled alongside him and someone inside fired several shots, said Pomona police Sgt. Steve Congalton.
Roberts was airlifted to an area hospital, where died. Police were dispatched to the scene at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Congalton said.
A motive for the shooting was unknown, he said.
