Detectives were searching Monday for the three armed men who robbed a Shakey’s Pizza Parlor in Palmdale and got away with at least several hundred dollars, authorities reported.
The armed robbery at Shakey’s at 39450 10th Street West took place about 10 p.m. Sunday, according to Lt. Adam Ellison of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station.
According to Ellison, three men walked into the restaurant and used a gun to rob the pizza parlor. A desk deputy said the men got away with at least several hundred dollars.
No one was injured in the robbery.
“The men left in a vehicle,” Ellison said, adding that a video camera at a nearby business may have captured the getaway vehicle, and detectives were in the process of obtaining that video early this morning. They’re hoping the video will yield not just a description of the getaway vehicle but also of the robbers, he said.
Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call the sheriff’s Palmdale station at (661) 272-2400. Tips can be made anonymously.
