At least seven people had to be hospitalized after a three-car crash on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway, fire officials said Thursday.
The accident was reported at 5:47 p.m. near the freeway’s Winnetka Avenue exit, said Erik Scott, a spokesman with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One of the vehicles involved rolled over, blocking the number one lane, said Officer McAllister of the California Highway Patrol.
The number one, two and three lanes were closed until about 7:50 p.m., McAllister said.
Seven people, including some minors, had to be taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, Scott said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
